But contrary to popular belief, CDs are not ruined if they’re scratched! There are a variety of ways to repair scratched CDs that don’t involve throwing them away or buying a new disc. You can do this by pulling the front side upwards (leaving the back side on a solid surface). We’ve all been there- your favorite CD gets scratched and suddenly songs are skipping, pausing, or not playing altogether. If these methods don't work, you can also tilt your Xbox One so that the disc is pulled in by gravity. Hold on to the disc for an extra second or two, causing resistance, then let go and let the Xbox bring the disc in ReinstallĢ - when putting the disc in, the Xbox will start to pull the disc into the drive. ![]() I'd also like to point out one of the other good tips I received:ġ - delete blue ray player app. Here's the photographic proof of my gross Q-Tips after the cleaning. It should now properly feed if the issue was a dirty / gunked up roller! This worked amazingly well for me! Repeat with as many Q-tips as necessary until the Q-tips come out clean. Activate the roller by putting the Q-tip near the center of the drive to ensure you're getting the entire roller clean. Gently insert a Q-tip into the disc drive and wipe down the roller inside by going from one side to the other. Squeeze out any excessive amount of cleaner. Take said Q-Tips and lightly douse them in alcohol or a non-abrasive cleaning solution that doesn't leave residue behind. You need quality Q-Tips that will hold together and not flake apart. ![]() After some reading of tips and tricks online, this is what fixed it for me: Previously I made a post about how my Xbox One no longer would feed discs all the way in without using gravity.
